one step at a time
where shopping is a pleasure

I was working, and happened to notice the customer who was behind the customer I was currently ringing up. This customer placed an open box of tissues on my register and then started loudly blowing her nose. She got really into it and collected quite the wad of tisses. When it was her turn to be rung up, she tried to hand over her used tissues, which I obviously declined. She then said, I could tell your manager. To which I replied: go ahead and do that. She obviously missed the memo that you are supposed to blow your nose in the bathroom. Some people make me so mad.

2524) I’m on the edge. I’m tired of being strong.

Why can’t I  just give in? Work is slowly killing me. I think I’ll watch black swan or just TV. What did everyone think of the movie?

why?

Everyone wants money, and I’ve given out a lot of that lately. I just want a new set of contact lenses. Why should I have to spend an aditional $200 on an eye exam once a year? My prescription hasn’t changed in years. There is no optometry insurance. It’s just a “discount” for having medical insurance which doesn’t exactly help much. I don’t have that much money, but can’t exactly wear glasses in my sister’s wedding. So, I guess I’ll be spending half my paycheck this week on that and then more money when I place my order again for contacts. Everything just costs so much money. My mom has been telling me that for years.

I’m glad to go back to work today. You can only sit at home for so much time. I wish I had an earlier shift, however, it’s my new goal to make the best out of everything.

Until later…

it makes the world go ‘round

it makes the world go ‘round

back to reality with a different take on it

So, I spent some time in the Bahamas, and now I’m in my new apartment. It’s beautiful and guess what? It’s CLEAN! If you know me you know that my apartment is never clean. It’s time for a fresh start. It sincerely bothered me that my apartment was never clean. It made me cry often. I’m determined that this one is going to be different. My new home looks perfect and I want to keep it just like it is right now. It’s so peaceful and serene looking at a beautiful clean place.

I’m also working on training my chihuahua Pedro. One week here and no accidents. It’s amazing, really. A little effort goes a long way. Pedro has been enjoying some nice walks on the greenway which my new place conviently connects to. I have also been enjoying visits from friends.

I must say that I am really ready to get back to work. My store is a big part of my life. I’ll be happy to see other people tomorrow and of course fundraise for March of Dimes.

I really hope that this new beautiful CLEAN and a potty trained dog in the making will be the fresh start I need. Only time will tell, but I must say I’m optimistic.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
